FAQs
Common Questions
NV Medicaid pays for ground and air transportation services to and from the facility for the individual being admitted. For minors (under the age of 18 years) NV Medicaid will pay for an accompanying adult to transport the minor to the facility and home at the time of discharge; the accompanying adult is responsible for their own flight costs when returning home without the minor and returning to the facility without a minor. Additionally, NV Medicaid will cover transportation costs from the airport to the facility only at admission and from the facility to the airport only at the time of discharge.
Out of state Medicaid typically has the same transportation policies; however, the admissions team will work with referring facility or provider to confirm covered transportation benefits prior to scheduling an admission date.
